No audio line output

I am unable to get any audio output from the ine output sockets. Audio works OK through HDMI. Everything appears to be instaed and set correcty, although I havn't changed anything since I got it.

Any ideas?

Hi sadafandtim and welcome to Club Vaio.

Please can you let us know what model Vaio you have - they all have different inputs and outputs. Some are just inputs!

Check your sound playback device in Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback

It's the XL-301. I think I may have found the problem - it would appear that you can't use both the audio output and HDMI outputs at the same time. This seems like a bit of a strange restriction but appears to be the case.

Nah thats not right reinstall the device drivers under the sound video and game controllers tree in the device manager
