PC starts on it own

Hello fello roomies,
my friend recently bought a new desktop, but it turns it self on when the phone rings. ive looked at the modem settings and deselected wakeup box, but that made no differance. any surgestions pls thanks. Also can any help with another ploblem.
whilst on line the phone is constantly ringing.

looking in the bois to see a wake on lan and so on and turn them off

This is caused by TVTV
You need to go into TVTVs options and ask it not to syncronise @ 6am
