Hi all

I have 2 x 256 ram in my laptop.
Recently my Belarc advisor has told me i anly have 256 ram and that "slot 1 is empty"
While i'm here....why does this model have a max of 512 ram...any way round this....

Unfortunatly the max RAM for Vaio is only 512 RAM..:smileysad:

Unfortunately this sounds like the GRX-GRV-GRZ-FX memory slot problem. This is well documented and a Google will produce countless hits.

Hi Davos long time no see.

Sorry to hear you've had that terrible memory soldering problem but as Thalamus pointed out, there's a guy in Peterborough who does it for a decent price.
