PCG-K315Z RAM upgrade to 1GB

Hy Guys, I need your help.
My notebook is equiped with 512 MB RAM: originals 2 modules, 256 MB DDR PC2700 CL2.5 SODIMM, SAMSUNG.
In order to upgrade up to 1GB, I've found 2 modules, 512 MB DDR SDRAM CAS.5, CORSAIR.
Do they fit well?
On the Sony official web site I didn't find anything available.

Unfortunatly I've already bought a CORSAIR RAM (512 md ddr sdram pc2700, 333 mhz, cas2.5, sodimm) and after putting the 2 modules into, the total memory installed seems to be 512 Mb instead of 1024! Compared to the crucial RAM suggested it seems to have the same specs, but I'm not able to understand why my vaio is viewing only 512 Mb...
Looking forward for any more suggestion from the forum, I'm trying to contact the supplier.

According to Corsair the memory compatibe with your system should be the following:

Part # » CMSS512MB-266SOD

Type » DDR-266 (PC-2100) SODIMM

Size » 512MB

Package » 200-pin SODIMM

It looks like you went for a different Corsair model (PC2700), hence your incompatibility issues...

I've solved the matter finally.
I've found the solution on http://www.memorysuppliers.com/sam51pc26200.html
and chatting with their online support i got the answer to our problem.
I've just bougth 2x512 PC 2100 (266mhz) RAM and installed: everything is ok. The system views 1Gb finally.
PC 2700 (333 Mhz) is wrong for 1Gb updating, but is good for 512Mb.
So, on Sony web site there's a wrong or partially true spec.
Moreover, Corsair PC2100 is out of production.

Il faut utiliser le RAM 2x512 PC 2100 (266mhz) pour obtenir 1Go larocomb

Thank you for the response.

Sony web site is'nt sympathique for their partially spec. All things put up the cost of the process, but whisout upgrade the memory !
