Performance problem DVD-RW of pcg-k115z

Hello,

I recently bought a pcg-k115z and I was quit happy with it until I noticed that my system is extremely slow when copying data from cd-rw to the harddisk. Copying a 400Mb DV avi film takes more than 20 minutes. The same action on a desktop model takes 3 to 5 minutes. The same action on the IBM laptop of my boss takes 8 minutes. I can't believe the harddisk is causing the problem.
Anybody else noticed a simular behaviour ?

Sounds like your DVD drive reads slower than the other drives.

I did some more testing. The problem only occurs for CD-RW.
When reading from CD-R, I can copy +- 100Mb/minute, which takes about 4 minutes for the same amount of data.
I gave the problem CD-RW to a friend and he could copy the disc in 4 to 5 minutes on a laptop.
So, I'm sure there is a problem with the matsushita drive but how to convince sony people ?
