Problem with the Tv screen....and "serious problem" message

I have an X-black VGC V2S and its only 2 weeks old ... the screen is showing very dark and the colours are extremely bright , this also happens on mpeg videos and pics. I have tried resetting to default picture but this has made no difference, what is trange is that the colours are perfect when the screen is in normal pc use ie. browsing ....any ideas what to do?
Also the pc keeps shutting off and when it comes on in displays a window with the message " a srious error has occured, this has benn logged"....????

its the entire screen , but only tv and movies ..... pics are ok

Sounds like a problem with Gigapocket / VAIO Zone

managed to sort it....uninstalled graphics card and reinstalled it ...working fine now!!
