Removing all unwanted processe's

hi

i like to have my system running in tip top shape and have a stupid amount of processes some i know what they are and also know that they are needed but what about the others how do i know that i can switch them off with out something nuts happening.......

if i turn them off do the ones that are most needed just switch them selfs back on ?????

NOT ALWAYS! Some Processes or Services are vital, swithing them off can result in a crash or a reboot of your machine to restart the service. It may seem like you have a lot of services running in the backgorund, but thats all Windows XP & hence Windows is known to be unstable, no matter what your spec.

My advice; Simply go in to System Config (Run & msconfig), & disable all non-needed startup items. If your concerned with performance & want to get the best from your PC... Install Linux as a second Operating System & just compare the difference.

Go to http://www.blackviper.com for some advice on which services you can safely disable.
