shutdown takes sooo long

Hi,
got a Vaio VGN-FS515B Win XP SP2. And the shutdown process takes too long, sometimes nearly up to two minutes. Is there any workaround for this prob?

It is Norton thats the Problem, But to solve the problem you got a bigger one definately if you want to uninstall it.

You can't get rid of it, it was made to stay but however on the symantec website somewere on it is a UnInstall key.

Other security apps do work while its still there but it hinders them.

Right, bear in mind I also have and use Norton, my shutdown last night took 45.25 seconds approximately. I find that very acceptable.
