Slow system start-up

Hi, I have had my vaio RS402 for 2 weeks and today it has started playing up by freezing and also now takes longer to stat-up, can anybody help any ideas????

you might have to many start up items or to many processes it could be new hard ware if you installed some

you can start the machine up and then go to your bios and make it start up in default

spyware can also slow your machine down loads scan and remove any spyware ect ect

how full are your hard drives ????

Any chance of some more details so we can help you further?

Try the following to help us:

click "START"
click "Run"
type "msconfig -6"
click "OK"

and then please mention the list of applications that are listed in the displyed "Startup" register. Those are all the programs that are automatically launched at the boot-process.

Even most viruses will be listed here...

is it normal to have f:\setup.exe in start up

f; is my dvd drive
