Sony SZ2XP Vista Update

Hi there,
I updated my Sony SZ2XP, which was initially delivered with Windows XP to Vista Ultimate.
I followed the instruction of the Sony homepage and installed it on a clean hard drive, therefore I made 2 recovery DVD's before. After that I fund out that I can install driver, but no Sony applications.
Next I used the recovery DVD's and recovered XP and the Sony applications. Next I made an update to Vista. Now the Vaio is telling me that he is not a Vaio and cannot exeute Sony applications such as Click-to-DVD or even the recovery tool.
Any ideas???

thx in advance

Hi safe63 and welcome to Club Vaio.

If you change the preinstalled operating system, you will lose all your Sony Applications including the Recovery Tool. Sony do not provide support for Vista Ultimate on your model.

Whichever way you do it, the Original Preinstalled Applications are designed to run on XP and will not work properly with Vista and Vista versions are not available for download.
