Just installed the new firmware. About time!
As an experienced work dodger I have spent the last hour looking for the improvements; this is what I have found:
Gapless playback (of course)
Native MP3 playback support
Date and Time Screensaver when docked
4 New Skins (I want to create my own!)
Link to lyrics from song info page
Additional Repeat/shuffle options
2 line display of song information on select pages
Lots of corrupt info on album information
Demo mode option
Backlight brightness option
New jurky screen fade
G-sense sensing area option
Screen information cant refresh to keep up with the scroll when scrolling through album songs, you only get to see 3 items at a time.
All in all it is better, still room for improvement and performance is only marginally better.
I cant work out why I am seeing "?????????????23???????" style text under most of my albums? Cant see it in SonicStage and i'm using 2.3.
Oh well, looks like we'll just have to wait until the next non rushed release is out, to be completly happy!
Anyone have any ideas if or how we can create our own tmplates/skins?
