Hi there,
My new VGN-S5HP comes with 512MB ram and the following specs: DDR2 533 Mhz.
When looking for Vaio Accessories Memory options the only memory upgrade available is module VGP-MM512L which is DDR2 400 Mhz.
Could anyone please explain me how this is possible and if there is any problem about mixing those two types of memory ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
What does it have to do with the main question issued here ?
Tempreture is very important with computer systems blue, you can ask many high level techs if you want, they'll say it's important it doesn't go too hot.
So stop critisising everyone

True, but it's always worth making sure you're in the safe zone

Jeez are you really this silly?

I have just upgraded the memory on my S5 & found DDR2-533 RAM readily available.
Another advantage of using both slots is that the memory will run in dual channel mode, giving some slight advantage in memory performance.
