Touch Pad Problem.

Hi,
I bought my vaio VGN-N11S around 4 months ago but since then i have this problem occasionaly that some time touch pad does not work for double click I have to use buttons which really irritates me. Any solutions will be appreciated.

Hi Ali,

There are at least two possible causes of this.

One is that the correct touchpad drives are not installed and the system is treating the touchpad as a standard USB mouse. Check that a pointing device is listed in Device Manager under ‘Mice and other pointing devices as opposed to a USB mouse.

If this is OK then right click the touchpad icon in the system tray and select mouse properties. On the Tapping tab make sure that ‘Tapping’ is ticked and you may need to uncheck ‘Tap off when typing’.
