Another thing I want to share with the community:
On the TX the fan starts every 20 or 30 seconds for a few seconds due to the processor temperature around 60°C. I just managed to drop the CPU temp (as measured by MobilMeter) from constantly around 57/58 °C to less than 53 °C by using a tiny quiet external fan! The trick seems to be that you have to blow some air into the casing where it spreads around and cools everything a little.

While I don't find the TX fan to be overly loud (and am more concerned with how long it will stand that permanent operation) maybe this helps the ones that have louder fans.
