We have about70 units of TX2XP's as these are used in a corporate environment we have built our own XP SP2 sysprepped image. Some of the units are used to actually replace the users desktop and come with the standard sony docking station.
About 10 of the users out of the possible 70 & who also use them as replacment desktops have been complaining of BSODs. We have looked into this problem and cant seem to find any problem with the OS/Software.
My only thoughts are that it could be them un/re-docking the laptops whislt power is connected and causing a short that later on causes the BSOD or some problem with the PoE we use for our VOIP (Cisco 7912 series phones on desktops) As the VOIP phones have small switches in them we take the cable directly then another one spawns off and plugs into the PC.
Anyone had any problems with BSOD's docking stations or PoE?
