update to vista.

I would like to update to windows vista. I'm using a vgn ar11b.
which version of vista do I need? 32 bit or 64 bit?

what do I need to do before I install it? I already have a rescue disk and a backup of my files. Is that enough to reinstall windows xp if necesarry or do I need a windows xp cd for that?

Use the 32bit version. U can choose to do a not destructive upgrade which wont delete any of your data. If its an oem version of XP you shouldn't need the disc as your only upgrading the software. Hope this helps.

As Jimmy said use the 32bit edition as the 64bit edition is badly supported driver wise.
