Upgrade Hard disk on VGN-A317M (PCG-8S1M)

Hello there,

I need to change my HD on my VGN-A317M but I'm unable to open the panel. Is there someone who holds an unmount process for this laptop?

Take off all exrenal screws underneath and behind the laptop, take off the keyboard, a couple more screws should release the grey cover (where your hands are when you type).

If I remember well you'll also have to un-screw the memory stick reader which is on top of the HDD.

You should then have access to the HDD cradle. Please tell us if you succeed.

it works, there was a screw i didn't see so now i manage to remove the panel and access to the hard disk
