Using the AV button for easy access to my music

I have all my music on the hard disk and listen to is throuhg windows on media player or on my itunes but when I try to boot in via the AV button on the front of the laptop I simply get a screen showing media player and C/Programfiles.
I am guessing that I have to tell the media player where to look for my music but cannot find it.
It wirks perfectly well and finds all my music when booted through Windows

Help!

Hi johncoe and welcome.

What model Vaio do you have?

If you have a TZ/TX/CR/UX series Vaio you should have InstantON Mode installed and you should have received a paper manual on this feature.

All other series do not have InstantON Mode and the AV button can only be used from within Windows.
