Vaio VGN-FS215S Number lock defaulted to on?

Everytime I log onto on my Vaio laptop the number lock is defaulted to be on and I have to switch the green light off, i.e. the number lock off.

It didn't use to be this way when I first bought it. I tried switching the number lock off before I switch the Vaio off. When I switched it on again the number lock is again on automatically. How do I make it default to off automatically unless I want to switch the number lock on.

Have you tried turning num lock off, and then log off windows.

Now log on again, Windows XP should preserve the NUM LOCK state when you log off, so in therory your Vaio should bootup with the num lock set as off...:smileyconfused:

if this does not work, you may need to change the registery settings..
