VGC-RC204 & Windows Vista Ultimate

Hi,
I've just bought Windows Vista Ultimate, and it's in the 64bits version. When I download drivers/utilities/etc from the VAIO Support, it doesn't work (I dl the VISTA version, but the installer tells me 'You haven't got Vista etc...' What can I do plz ?

I don't know if they package things the same way in your country, but here in the UK I had a 32 bit disk and a 64 bit disk with my Vista Ultimate. Having heard many stories about the 64 bit version, I opted to install the 32 bit version.

I suspect Sony will only support 32 bit apps when they finish their stuff at the end of March.

Rob is right - Sony do not support or recommend the 64-bit version.

If you want to use this, you are on your own - several 64-bit drivers are available from the manufacturers' sites but you will lose the Sony Utilities and I doubt that you will find all the drivers you need.
