I have a FG285M notebook and at the right hand side nearest the front there is a small button which, when I press it, shoots out slightly. When I push it again it clicks shut. There is no ident marking on it and I cannot find any diagram in the documentation which shows it. From the top the connections are:
DC input
External display output
3 USBs
PRO - which I take to be for a memory stick
S400 Firewire
Card slot
Small unknown button
It would have been a great help if the documentation had contained a physical layout drawing with explanations of all these connections shown.
Help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
I can't find any diagrams either.
Is it not the Card Ejector button to remove a PCMCIA card from the slot?
Thanks Blencogo you are probably right. I haven't got a card so I have never used it. But logically it looks similar to the button which ejected floppies from the old A drives.

Hi Dennis,
Is this what the button looks like?
If so then Blencogo is correct..
It's PCMCIA
