VGN FS285B need in help!!!

I just recently did a clean format putting XP Pro onto the laptop. I managed to put SP2 on it and can install the sound card. The problem is that the function keys are not working at all and when i put the power in the screen doesnt brighten up and stays the same when i take the power out. So the brightness doesnt change.

Can anyone help??

Welcome to Club Vaio,

Download the Original Utilities Package for your FS285B from Vaio-Link , once downloaded extract and then install the following, in order.

1 Sony Utilities
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service

Once completed then re-boot your vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..

Have you also installed the Sony drivers for your model Vaio
