VGN-S1HP - Standby problem

My XP vaio restarts automatically about 3 seconds after going onto standby - even with lid closed. I have tried all the suggestions in the help section. What else could it be? It started doing this spontaneously a feww days ago.

As there was a Virus on my VAIO, which was SASSER. I had the same problem.

Start the system in safe mode and make a complete Virus scan.

Press F8 after the VAIO logo has gone and boot into safe mode.

There do a full virus scan
