The 3 RCAs on the back of the XL100 that are marked in red green and blue are actually component rather than RGB signals. I'm not clear what the difference is, but I know on my Sony TV the RGB inputs are on the SCART, and component is on RCAs. I don't think the XL100 has RGB out, only composite, Svideo, component or HDMI.
Bear in mind that when you connect this way, you will have trouble playing DVDs: you have to turn the resolution down to 570p to watch your DVD, then back to whatever you want afterwards. It's buried deep in the manual, and my dealer forgot to mention it (well didn't know actually).
