Vista bitlocker and VAIO

I have tried to use Windows Vista Bitlocker on my VAIO VGN-A397XP.I have all that is required regarding partitions and have selected to use a usb flash drive to store the keys.However it doesn't work.Is it the BIOS fault?Is there anyway to make it work?

Hi Jimkam,

You are right - it would require a BIOS upgrade.

This has not been provided for any European Vaio Model including the SZ and G Series Vaios running Vista Business - although the Sony Asia Pacific site does have BIOS Updates for these two models to allow Bitlocker.

I don't think you will ever get this update for your model - Sony will simply say that they don't support Vista Ultimate on any Vaio.
