Vista fails to install, fails to identify volume on 2 x disk system.

I bit the bullet, downloaded the drivers and attempted an install of Vista on my Vaio VGN-AR21S. The install see's the two 100gb disks, but continually tells me there is no valid partition on which to install. I've deleted partitions, created partitions, formatted partitions but to no avail. Has anyone else seen this? It's a big pain.

well its nice to see you still have 200gb of hd space. just got my vaio (ar21s) back from sony, my hard drives now total 100gb!! so this will be going back next week..again.

they replaced the key board (some keys would not work)
replaced both hard drives (why??)
replaced blu ray drive (due to it not burning -r disks)

i love the machine but it dare not kepit after the warrenty runs out in 8 months. glad i took out the extra warrenty when the screen went after 11 months!!!
