Vista HDD Protection and Fan speed

Hi,
I have just installed windows Vista Business (MSDNAA licence) and I would it seems that the HDD protection (movement) and the fan speed reguliation utils don't work anymore (i've tried to install the xp versions but it doesn't work).
It seems that the fan is always at maximum speed now even when the CPU load is 0...

from my knowledge sony havent yet released any of their drivers for vista.

just out of interest, did u remove the current recovery drive (if your vaio had one) or is it still their?. i also have v.business from msdnaa.

OK i will wait for the drivers. I have removed all the partitions since I have the backups DVDs if I want to restore windows XP...
