volume notification

... can anybody tell me how to bring back volume notifications (green letters on screen) when i press vol. up and down buttons on my FE-11s.
I know the notifications have been there when i turned on the comp. for the first couple of times, but i've deinstalled some original software and the notifications are now gone. Any thoguhts??

go to start-->run-->type: msconfig-->go to services tab-->in there there should be something disabled wich has to to with your volume controll display. Since I can't remember wich one it is I would advice you to enable everything in the services tab. It could be it's not there anymore since you removed software....because you are not very clear about what software you removed. But it has something to do with media center. You will notice when you start media center you will get the volume display back. I had the same problem in the past.
