volume up/down buttons

its not just my volume buttons, but my brightness, mute, and display buttons. Basically they decide not to work sometimes. Please can someone help me it's really anoying. and yes, i am folding down Fn

I suggest that you try re-installing a few of the utilities. Go to Vaio-Link (Drivers and Updates) and download the pre-installed utilities for your model.

Extract the file and then install Sony Utilities (installer folder 1), Sony Shared Library (installer folder 2) and Vaio Event Service (installer folder 5) in that order followed by a re-boot.

You may find that it is necessary to repeat this procedure a couple of times before all works as it should.
