There are no VAIO models that are affected by the Intel chipset issue. If you have a look at the Intel announcement for the issue, you'll see mentioned that system information utilities incorrectly recognizing the stepping. You cannot rely on such utilities to determine the stepping.
Regarding the heat issue - I assume that you are not using the VAIO on a soft surface, blocking the air vents, or in a dusty, hot or steamy environment. If there is no plausible reason for the EH to get this hot, please contact VAIO support to have your VAIO checked in the repair centre. Log into the support page with your VAIO's serial number, then click on 'get in touch'.
