Warranties in different countries!!!

Why does Sony offer 2 Years warranty to Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Portugal??? But everywhere else just 1 Year? I find that really annoying! If I bought my laptop in Germany (as I am German) rather than the UK, I would have 2 Years warranty instead and my DVD-RW would have been replaced w/o costs!

That's matter to countries laws. Not to Sony.

It's something like "you want to sell something?" "but we make the rules"
If you buy a notebook in UK then it's no matter whether you are German or Portuguese. You will get 1 year warranty for UK.

This is one of the reason I recommend JL to my friends but they always think PC World, especially when it comes to computers.
