Hi Clare,

That's not a very good read at all.. :slight_frown:

I would take it back to PC world for either a refund or exchange as is your right under the The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (fit for purpose)

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 ensures goods should be of satisfactory quality and fit to do the job intended for them.

Also if you've paid with a credit card you have extra rights under section 75, that means if you have a problem with the above statutory right, then you can contact the credit card company rather than the retailer.

Now youve got me worried. I dont have the same problems but Im testing my battery life currently on my fe41s. Seems to be short. Havnt tried the backup yet.
I also cant register it and get the same problem. Driving me nuts.
What is Sonys problem?

Its a fabulous laptop but like the guy above said they should replace it straight away.

Hi NIKKS,

The reason I suggested the Clare exchanges her laptop is due to the blue screen problems..

This is a terrible blog, and another wake up call to Sony to do more intensive research on Vista.

Well I've made my mind up

its definitely going back for a full refund

i would recommend anyone thinking of buying a vaio to stop

and buy one of these

the dv2278ea model is comparable with the fe41s and i think is a better choice (cheaper too!)
