WEP on T2XP

Using a Netgear DG834G router with my T2XP. With WPA encryption enabled on the router, I get prompted for the key on the laptop as expected. With WEP selected, there is no prompt and the laptop just searches for the network and after about a minute tells me it couldn't connect, as expected!

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I had this but not with that laptop, had to get a new driver which supported WPA

Thanks KL, unfortunately my problem is the other way round, it's WPA that works and WEP that doesn't. Any other thoughts?

Jimbo,

The only thing I can think of is making sure they're both using 128bit for the passcode.

Or making a key and entering the code manually from the other PC
