XP on VIAO contract issues

Hello vaio users,

I have an issue that maybe you can help with. Here goes....

I purchased a viao laptop14 months ago, but decided I wished to have extra storage and removed the restore partition. The laptop never came with any XP cd's and now the OS has gone a tad pear shaped. I now have a good laptop but no XP.?

Do I have a right to ask Sony for a new copy of xp.? What can I do?

Hi Martin,

from your post I guess you did not create a set of recovery disc's before removing the HD recovery partition..

You can contact Vaio-Link to purchase a new set of recovery DVD's, I believe they cost around £30..
