How to start get laptop to detect walkman?

New NWZ B163 - is detected by one laptop but not by another (the one with my music on!) Yet the USB ports on both are working. Is there some automatic 'reader' online which is incorrectly set up which is causing this to be a problem? How to undo any error in setting initial set up which may be causing the problem? Thanks

Best thing to do is connect the Walkman, start your device manager. Once done, locate the section for USB (Universal Serial Bus Controller) and click on the [+] and then remove all USB mass storage devices or any on the entire list with a question or exclamation mark.

Once done, leave your Walkman connected and restart your computer. If the problem still persists, then it would be a driver related issue with your computer since it works fine on another machine. As these are plug and play Walkman products, the drivers are all embedded within your operating system.

Give it a go and see how you get on
