listening to audiobooks

I have a new walkman NW-A50 series. It's lovely. I've transferred all my music from itunes easily and am very pleased with the sound reproduction. BUT I don't seem to be able to transfer my audible books to it. Any hints and tips would be gratefully received. I would like to open an audible account and buy some new audiobooks to listen to, but at at present I can't find a way to make it worf which is very frustrating.

Hi Mrs.P-D,

Do you know the file format of the audio-able books?

Hello. I have bought a couple of books from itunes. They say the file type is 'Protected AAC audio file'. I have bought the same book from Audible expecting it just to work with my Walkman but it doesn't. But  I couldn't find the file type on the Audible site. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated about making these work on my new Walkman. I would use it much more if only I could load new books onto it! Thanks
