WH-1000XM4 headset mode stops working on Windows 10

Hello,

My WH-1000XM4 device is connected with multi-device connection to both my Galaxy S10+ and my work laptop (HP EliteBook 850 G7), which runs Windows 10. The stereo device works properly, however I haves issues with the hands-free mode. I wish to use my headphone for Microsoft Teams calls on the laptop. However sometimes it stops working. It works for a call, a few hours later it may not work.

What do I mean not working? I do not hear anything and the mic does not work either. However it is not only in Teams, but if I right click on the speaker icon (bottom right corner) and going to Sounds/Playback/Hands-free device/Advanced and pressing the "Test" button I cannot hear anything. It all means the hands-free mode does not work at all on the Windows 10 laptop. The stereo device is not affected at all, that is functioning.

How is it resolved? I have no clue. Sometimes it just works again. After a few days. It is really inconvenient when I join to a meeting and it does not work, so after such happenes I do not use it for calls for a while. If I re-try it a few days later, it may work or may not work, totally random.

What I tried to resolve it?
Restarting the laptop, updating the Bluetooth driver (latest Intel), updating the headphone firmware (also latest), re-pairing the headphone, disabling the "Call" functionality on my mobile phone for this device. None of these solved my issue. I mean these not just eventually do not fix it, but these do not fix it temporarily either.

Have you tried resetting them to factory settings and re-pairing them with both your phone and the PC?

Also, have you tried using another PC/laptop instead? Bluetooth adapters can be temperamental sometimes.
