Media not playing in car

Why is it that some updates screw up your phone to the point that it annoys the you. Can anyone relate? My media is not working in my car. No music no Waze or maps. No YouTube...nothing. However I have full access and use of all phone call functions via Bluetooth. This has been a problem for over 2 months. Any soultions?

For non-Android Auto vehicles, I would suggest to so it over, as you have to keep an eye on the phone screen. When you are first complete pairing, a pop up window shows and you have to checkmark to say yes,then accept.

It has happen a few times, I hope that helps.
