Overheating

I have had this phone for a couple of days. I overheats a lot. I could not use it to take pictures and video the other day while out with my family. It overheats inside the living room with air-conditioning while taking pictures.

There is 22° inside the living room.

The phone reaches 44° with regular use.

The 125 zoom is very soft.

The phone gets so hot it is uncomfortable with regular use.

I would like some feedback from Sony. If they don't respond to this post I will have to return the phone and go back to Samsung again.

This is unacceptable from a phone in this price range!

A person from a forum got the answer from support that this wasnt a problem... I feel that thats a very strange answer... WE cannot use our cameras! https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/sony-xperia-1-iv.4077/erfahrungen-und-erste-eindruecke-zum-xperia...

I had the same issue, just taking a couple of pictures was making the phone uncomfortable to holt in hand.

The good point I got from someone on facebook is that first day or couple (based on how huge your google account is), the phone may be synchronizing all of it, photos, disc, mail, etc. I did not unfortunately look, what e.g. consumed most of the battery life...

Did try to make a couple minute long video like day five, still same, quite heated in hand.

Advises like turn off this, turn off that I don't take in, didn't buy the phone to not use it... So unfortunately didn't hold on the phone and returned.

I commented this on another thread but here we go. From the reports I see online by the people who've been in contact with Sony is that they're still checking this one actually with no updates about the camera issue. Regarding the overheating sadly they did say it is normal due to the new chip, ugh!
