When you use the mobile Internet, it sometimes happens that the 4g or 4g plus icon on the status bar to the left of the network signal strength, which appears when mobile data is turned on the. The same icon when watching a YouTube video, disappears on its own for a second, several times in a row, sometimes for several seconds. The problem is that when I'm on a video call on Viber, when the mobile data icon disappears, it stops my video and when it picks up after a second, the video continues normally. Also, when you watch a video on YouTube, when the icon disappears and appears below the video, it shows the text that the network is established. I've done a software repair via xperia companion, factory reset the phone, reset internet settings, reverted to factory APN in settings, swapped the SIM card, but the problem is still there. I think it started happening after the latest system update. The same situation as if you turned off and immediately turned on the mobile internet yourself. Is the problem something to do with the phone's software, hardware or the mobile operator itself? Does anyone know how this nonsense can be solved? Thank you
Better look locally.
If there was a software bug there would be a lot of complaints.
After latest system firmware i notice this problem. I use my smartphone every day relevatly same. On others forum some people answered on my post and say they have same problem after latest update. I think it is definitly software bug in latest build.
Try this:
Push power and vol-down together.
Whatever happens, keep on pushing for two minutes, then restart.
Exact same problem here too!
Very annoying problem. Also phone calls get hangout when I use some apps at the same time.
Model: Xperia 1 III (XQ-BC52)
Software version: 61.1.A.9.128
This need to be fixed asap!
@Kirskainen, you can try the above steps, and you can also clear the phone app's cached data (settings > apps > all apps > phone app > storage > clear cache & data > return and select uninstall updates by clicking on the top right 3 dots on the corner), then force restart your phone and check again
I have been trying to solve this problem in the following ways:
- software reinstallation via Xperia Companion,
- factory reset,
- resetting network settings, returning apn parameters to factory values,
- despite all that, I took a new sim card, but the problem was still not solved.
- I used a different sim card and mobile operator, but the problem was still not solved.
- I tryed to go to safe mode but nothing,
Nothing from the list above fixes this software bug or problem.
When I shared this thread, people on other sites also commented that they had this problem.
Sony pleasa fix this problem. People here use your mobile phone in value over 1000e, please fix this problem in shortest time. The problem is very irritating and annoying. If this is not resolved in a future system update, I think I will think about whether I will ever buy a Sony Xperia mobile phone again, even though I am a user and fan of this brand, not only for phones but also for other devices, for more than 15 years.
Hi @Piscie ! I tried clear cache & data and force restart, but it didnt make any difference. Problems consist still.
Probelms are exactly same as @Djuro89 has on his phone. It came after last update I presume.
I hope this is takan seriosly and if someone else is reading this and has same troubles, please let sony know. Write here and click "I have this problem"...
Over 1000€ phone should not have this class of problems! Sounds like this is MAJOR bug in last update!
