Xperia 1

So I have the possibility of getting an Xperia 1 and I love the overall look of it but I'm looking to see if anyone has one and could tell me if it has still been getting updates and what is the current android version. I am also wondering if any of the updates have improved any of the camera qualities at all as I know that is one of the things people.wernt a major fan of at first and coming from pixel 3 that is the only thing I'm a bit worried about. Any help would be much appreciated

most Xperias are supported and updated up to 2 years for major updates and security updates from google. 
Currently Xperia 1 has the recent Android update available for OEMS which is Android 10.

Think Sony made a press release two weeks ago that they promised to update their phones for three whole OS upgrades. A week later they extended that to the XZ2 Premium, the XZ3, the Xperia and 5. So it looks like the 1 and 5 will get to android 12 and that is it.
