I was hesitant to do the android 12 update and now my fears appear to have been justified.
Since doing the update my 5 ii shuts down many times a day (around 10 yesterday!) and I have to do a force restart to get it back to life.
This is getting really tedious!
Is there anything I can do other than a complete system wipe to sort this out?
hello @Bueller
can you try to boot your device to safe mode. long tap power off option. check if the shutting down still happens.
if it doesn't it might be an app that might be causing the problem
It's completely random though and no new apps have been installed since the update.
Literally only started happening with the update-the same day in face and still doing it now, weeks later.
It'll even shutdown when it's charging overnight.
Is there any way of going back to Android 11??
Hi @Bueller, why don't you try the steps https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00232845?nick-error=data-articledetails
Make sure to perform the software repair successfully and check again.
I'm afraid there's no direct way to roll back to Android 11but booting the device and I don't think that's healthy for the device.
