Prefocus with shutter button.
Hi I have a Sony NEX3....Can someone confirm that I can lock focus with the shutter button ( half pressed) then re compose picture?....does this work in manual mode? Thanks.

Yes you can do that with every camera as long as you do not use continuous autofocus (AF-C). In AF-S (single) this is no problem.
Just try it

I'm not sure I understand your question. Whether you're in P,A,S or M (manual), the half-pressed shutter button behaves the same.
Just make sure you are in AF-S.
If you are referring to "manual focus", half pressing the shutter button will do nothing (as you have to turn the focusingring yourself).
