Android TV 8.0.0 external drive max size

What is the max hard disk drive or flash USB size of storage for latest Android TV 8.0.0 firmware v6.5830 on Sony KD-49XF9005? I can find a topic only about Android 7.0.

Sony support can not answer this question, saying:

"Moreover, as for the max hard disk drive size for storage on the latest firmware, we will check the matte further and get back to yourself within 2 working days." (25.03.2019)

Then they said: "We do apologise for the unintended inconvenience, please note that there are no updates shared on your case yet. However, once updates are shared we will update you as soon as possible." (27.03.2019)

So, Sony desn't know what they are selling, anybody impressed?

Hi @GogolBordell0   I am not sure that article is restricted to Android 7.0. I have just read it and it states “For Android OS7 (N) or later”.

@LightFoot  So, do you think there is no any update for Android 8? Still 256GB for storage?
