Android TV - add YouTube to My Apps on Discover Bar

How can I add the YouTube app to the list of My Apps that appears on the DISCOVER bar?  If I EDIT MY APPS, YouTube isn't listed under either ADD APPS or ADD OTHER.

Hi there

Some inbuilt apps are automatically added on the discovery bar (how nice of Sony - lol).  So, if YouTube is missing, it has probably been hidden at some point.

Press the [Discover] button on the remote control and scroll down to settings:

Click on the Show/Hide categories icon, then place a 'tick' nect to YouTube:

Hope this helps

Thanks. not quite what I wanted, as it gives me loads of irrelevant videos of Peepa Pig, Katy Perry, etc., whereas what I was hoping to get was just one icon for YouTube.  Thanks anyway.

It does the same with me too.  Peppa Pig...

I might ping this to Sony - as I would find it more useful if it picked up my recommendations on my YouTube account - which im already logged into anyhow.

You can click the red YouTube icon and it will then the app will load.

Yes, if it picked videos from my YouTube subscriptions or recommendations then that would be genuinely useful.
