I think I have found a solution to this after reading a previous post. Fingers crossed.

Welcome to the club of frustrated Sony TV owners who's viewing has been ruined by this problem. There are loads of us suffering this. There are many threads on this forum on this subject. I first reported it to Sony support at the beginning of February. The only response you'll get from Sony is "it's under investigation". Three months on and still no sign of a fix. Depending on your exact model you may have an option to turn off the info banner under "channel settings". Notably xg90 and xg83 models do not have this option. If you don't have the option try searching this community for "info banner" for some potential workarounds. Good luck.

What model TVs do you all have? Some models can have that disabled.

Sony have just released firmware update v6.7165 with a fix for this issue. I haven't been brave enough to install it yet. Good luck.

I went into settings and turned off information banner. Don’t seem to be getting this issue now
