Bravia AF9 Orange Light

I recently purchased a 55" AF9 and in the past few days I have noticed an orange light has appeared next top the white one at the bottom of the screen. it may be coincidental but I'm also getting an alert at least once an hour saying the Ethernet is not connected which it is.

Can anyone help

Hi, It could be that you have activated the mic as in the manual it says- Built-in MIC LED The built-in MIC LED lights up in amber when the built-in MIC is enabled. The builtin MIC LED can be disabled.

Hi Gavin,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Can you let me know if you're getting a specific error code?

Best wishes,

Thanks Sean

No specific error code appearing just a flash "ethernet not connected" message at the top right hand corner of ther screen which dissappears after a few seconds.

re the orange light, no error message in relation to it, light is just continually glowing

Hi Gavin710,

I'm not sure what's that orange light, but for the internet connection message, you can try first to soft reset the TV by pressing and holding the green power button on the remote control until the TV shows "power off - shutting down".

Also, make sure the TV is up to date as shown in this update link: http://clc.to/okGegw.

Hope this helps,

Hi Gavin710,

Concerning the orange light, that is an indication of an active recording or viewing timer set for a program. What doesn’t sound right to me is the fact you mention an orange light is shown next to the white light. As there is only one single led light built in to the bottom edge which changes color depending on the setting you have chosen for it in the settings menu. Perhaps a picture might help us understand your issue better.

In addition to what my colleague @Almou_10 has also suggested about soft resetting the TV. Try to also make sure that you have switched off the WiFi Direct setting as well as the WiFi radio under Network settings. Often when you are using Ethernet and the WiFi radio is left on, the TV tends to inadvertently switch back and forth between the two.

Cheers,

Dutchice

Hi folks

Ive carried out the soft start so only time will tell if it has addressed the error message, ot can take up to an hour to appear.

Re the orange light, here is a photo. Ive tried disconnecting the ethernet cable which makes no difference
