KD-55AF8

Hi,I've just taken delivery of a Sony KD-55AF8...I'm very happy with the TV,however being a little hard of hearing I would like to reduce the bass . I have found the Equalisier but before I start altering the settings I would appreciate if anyone could tell my which Hz I need to adjust to do this,or any other settings .Thanks

Hi @David1941,

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new Sony OLED TV. Generally speaking, by reducing the lowest frequency, you should achieve the result you are looking for. So have a careful look to see what are the lowest frequencies you  are able to adjust. For example often 100Hz or 120Hz are the lowest frequencies in the equaliser settings. Reduce both to a value of about 0. If you still are not happy you can always reduce them even further to -2 for example.

Also note that the sound presets such as [Cinema] by default have a much higher bass response compared to for example the [Dialouge] preset. So have a look at those sound presets too.

Cheers,

Dutchice
