2021 Sonys do not have the usual catchup apps.

Sony are working on this, but don’t seem to be having much luck.

If you were promised these apps when you bought the TV, or if you are just feeling short-changed here, you could get your retailer to swap it out for a TV that has the apps. But please be aware that Samsung are in the same boat here, so it would probably have to be an LG, or other TV with Freeview Play.

Alternatively, a Roku device or an Amazon Firestick, for under £40, will tide you over until Sony can get these apps. If ever.

Hey,

As royabrown2 said, it seems that right now all the catch up apps aren't available on the TV yet, or any of the 2021 line up, and Sony is saying that it's due to a license issue.
Anyway, yes you can use a Frestick or a Roku stick, but if you don't really wanna pay extra you can use your phone for that, if you want to cast the applications from your mobile.
Here's the manual from your TV, if you wanna know how to use it: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/iaep1/v1/en/05_04.html?hl=cast
