I've been with Sky broadband for years. I have had zero problems with it. I get a very fast download.  It works with everything, I've had a ton of stuff hard wired and wireless connected to it over the years, everything works 100% fine.

My Sony TV also worked fine until they did their Oreo update.

I agree with Stewart 100%.

I have now contacted Richer Sounds where I bought the TV from to say I'm not happy (have a 6 year warranty)

you are right what realy annoys me is that sony knows the problem was with the fimware update  but they keep denying it and treating the customers as if we are stupid and with contempt

Have you unchecked both IPV6 lan and IPV6 dhcp server on the advanced router settings, re booted router and then reset network settings on TV ( and/or factory reset the Tv) ?

It may also be a longshot but you could try manually assigning the ip address (on both the Tv and the router)   I had a Samsung TV that would crash our router until we did this

yes i had a engineer friend over to have a look and he tried all that and the tv was still disconnecting from the internet so he put the router back to the way it was as doing all that chages made no differance he also said that is a problem with the tv

I also agree that the possibility of an ISP issue is very minimal if at all, but looking through the info around the TV, there's been a very recent update released (just last month, 22nd of April). Have you tried updating to it? If you've already done that, could you share with us what that achieved?

I spoke to Richer Sounds about my problem, and pointed them to this thread, they have asked me to contact Sony direct, but if I have no satisfactory response, they will contact them on my behalf.

if you contact sony you will get the same respose as i got they will say they will escalate  then they will come back to you in about two weeks and say there is nothing wrong with the tv and blame your internet supplier

As well as turning off ipv6 if its a sky router I think the default gateway should be 192.168.0.1

This sounds rather odd. I'll see if I can pass this to my Sony contact for the both of you.
